Project Specialist

Project SpecialistWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Specialist to join our organization. In this dynamic role, you will provide critical support for SAP project execution and billing. You will act as a bridge between project management, tax teams, and finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSAP Operations & ERP Management:Use handoff documents for determining project creation, WBS structure, and accurate sales order entry.Work cross-functionally with PM, ITO, Sales, and tax team to ensure sales orders are created with correct taxMaintain and update project data in SAP as directed by Project and Service Managers.Proactively identify and resolve project defects in SAP to ensure data integrity.Billing & Financial Support:Assist the PM team with invoicing, including assisting the collection team with resolution of billing disputes.Use the Internal Billing System (IBS) process for internal invoicing, including troubleshooting and resolving billing issues for internal orders.Collaborate with Project Managers to track and improve project metrics, specifically focusing on reducing unbilled and past-due receivables (cash management).Process Expertise:Adapt to a highly dynamic environment by managing ad-hoc tasks as business needs evolve to support Project and Service execution teams.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED1-3 years of related project support experienceDesired CharacteristicsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to multitask and accept direction from multiple people, working across different time zonesBasic understanding of project management methodologyUnderstanding of financial and accounting practices related to project financials invoicingExhibit good time management skills and ability to perform to deadlinesDemonstrate ability to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environmentWork to ensure projects are completed on time and that stated objectives are metCollege degree or equivalent experienceSAP experienceNote: To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years' experience required for any role based within the USA.
