Ulm Automotive LLC is seeking a warehouse associate - 5S to be responsible for supporting warehouse operations while maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment using 5S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. This role assists with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, staging, shipping, inventory accuracy, and daily workplace organization to improve productivity, safety, and material flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload, label, and store incoming materials, products, and supplies in assigned warehouse locations.
• Pick, pack, scan, and stage per company requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, clearly labeled work areas, aisles, racks, bins, tools, and staging locations.
• Apply 5S principles by removing unnecessary items, placing needed items in designated locations, cleaning work areas, following standard procedures, and helping sustain daily organization.
• Assist with daily, weekly, or monthly 5S audits and complete assigned corrective actions.
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely and according to company procedures.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, or containers while following safe lifting, stacking, and material handling practices.
• Identify and report safety hazards, blocked aisles, damaged equipment, spills, excess clutter, or process concerns.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of 5S, lean, continuous improvement, or workplace organization preferred; training may be provided.
• Ability to read labels, work instructions, pick tickets, packing slips, and basic inventory information.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Ability to follow standard work, safety rules, and supervisor instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials or packages up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment when required.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with frequent movement, equipment traffic, noise, and changing temperatures.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety and housekeeping rules.

• Maintains assigned work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Completes warehouse tasks accurately, safely, and within expected timeframes.
• Helps identify improvement opportunities related to organization, safety, inventory accuracy, and workflow.
• Supports a culture of cleanliness, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
