Job ID: 20868Salary: 50 - 70k + pkgLocation: WarringtonRegion: Manchester, North of England, North West, North West EnglandWe’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC contract experience, to work for a major contractor within its Highways division, In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing commercial performance, leading our commercial team, and supporting successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects.The role is Hybrid, office-based in Warrington 3 days per week, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, clients, and senior leadership.What you’ll be doingKey ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior QS, you will:Lead and support a team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Administrators.Manage subcontractor accounts, including dispute resolution where required.Drive value maximisation through effective change control and contract management.Ensure accurate weekly cost reporting, valuations, and WIP management.Prepare payment applications and support the business in achieving cash flow targets.Provide commercial insight to Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and the Commercial Manager.Support annual budget preparation, monthly reforecasting, and profit & loss reporting.Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders.Who we’re looking forProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS—ideally within highways, infrastructure, civil engineering, structural repair, concrete remediation, or similarStrong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential).Skilled in developing and managing subcontracts and commercial agreements.Highly organised, analytical, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels.Strong IT skills (Word, Excel) and clear, professional presentation abilities.A team player with integrity, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem solving.Professional and personal development My client a major major contractor in the UK provides incredible opportunities, regardless of what stage you are at in your career.
