Network Engineer II - Storage Engineer (IPv6 Support)
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite, 5 days/week)

About the Role
Join a critical digital modernization initiative as a Network Engineer II, specializing in storage systems within an IPv6-enabled network environment. You will ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of advanced storage infrastructure supporting high-impact government programs. Responsibilities

- Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, Direct Attached Storage)
- Monitor storage capacity, system health, and performance metrics to ensure high availability
- Execute regular data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage and network issues, ensuring data integrity and security
- Implement and maintain IPv6 configurations for storage technologies
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and schedules
- Provide guidance and training to team members as needed

Required Skills and Experience

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in storage solutions engineering, including administration of SAN and NAS environments
- Proficiency in storage management, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
- Strong background in performing regular data backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Working knowledge of IPv6 configuration and integration within storage environments
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- U.S. citizenship or green card holder with at least 3 years' residency in the United States

Preferred Skills

- Advanced knowledge of IPv6 networking, addressing, routing, and troubleshooting
- Experience designing and optimizing network architectures for government or enterprise environments
