Your expertise will directly influence how organizations design and execute safer, more efficient projects, ensuring that safety is integrated fromconceptthroughoperation.Youwillenableclientstoachievebothregulatorycomplianceandoperationalexcellencewhilefosteringastrong,sustainablesafetyculture.WhatYou'llBring:RequiredDemonstratedexperiencedeveloping,implementing,andtransformingEHSmanagementsystems,governanceframeworks,andconstructionsafetyprogramsforlargecapitalprojects.AbilitytoinfluenceexecutivestakeholdersanddeliverstrategicrecommendationsthatimproveprojectriskmanagementandEHSperformance.Bachelor’sdegreeinsafety,occupationalhealthandsafety,engineering,constructionmanagement,orrelatedfieldorequivalentexperience.6–8+yearsofcapitalprojectEHSexperience,includingowner-sidesafetysupport,contractoroversight,constructionexecution,andcommissioning/start-up.ExperiencewithSafetyinDesign,constructabilityreviews,PHA/PSM-informedriskreviews,andprojectEHSgovernanceprocesses.StrongknowledgeofOSHAconstruction/generalindustrystandards,LOTO,permitting,emergencyresponse,fireprotection,andhigh-riskconstructioncontrols.ExperiencereviewingcontractorsafeworkdocumentationincludingJHAs,pre-taskplans,permits,liftplans,energyisolationplans,trainingrecords,andtoolboxtalks.Strongfieldpresence,communicationskills,andabilitytoinfluencecontractors,projectteams,andclientEHSpersonnel.ProficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsandabilitytomanagemultiplepriorities,travelasneeded,anddeliverhigh-qualityclientservice.PreferredCHST,ASP,CSP,OSHA30,confinedspace,fallprotection/prevention,orequivalentcertifications/training.Experiencesupportingcomplexcapitalprojectsinpharmaceutical,high-tech,chemical,LNG,manufacturing,orsimilarindustries.KeyResponsibilities:PartnerwithclientEHS,Engineering,ProjectControls,andCapitalProjectleadershiptoevaluateprogrameffectiveness,identifygapsandemergingrisks,anddriveimprovementopportunitiesacrossallprojectphases.Challengeexistingapproachesandfacilitatestrategicdiscussionswithstakeholdersregardingprogrammaturity,organizationalcapability,contractormanagementpractices,andriskgovernance.DevelopanddeployscalableEHSframeworks,standards,procedures,tools,andmanagementsystemsalignedwithprojectobjectivesandenterpriseriskmanagementgoals.AdviseclientsonSafety-by-Designintegration,constructabilityriskmanagement,contractorsafetygovernance,operationalreadiness,andlong-termsustainabilityofEHSprograms.Leadassessments,benchmarkingactivities,maturityevaluations,andstrategicimprovementinitiativesthatstrengthensafetyperformanceandorganizationalcapability.Translatetechnicalobservationsandprojectexecutionchallengesintoexecutive-levelrecommendationsandactionableroadmaps.LeadSafety-by-Designintegrationandrisk-baseddecisionmakingthroughouttheprojectlifecycle.DesignandexecuteprojectEHSgovernanceprocessesincludingriskreviews,assuranceroutines,siteaudits,escalationpathways,andcorrectiveactiontracking.Alignmultidisciplinaryteamsonsafetyexpectations,communicationprotocols,andincident-freeexecutionstrategies.ReviewcontractorsafeworkdocumentationincludingJHAs,pre-taskplans,permits,liftplans,energyisolation/LOTOplans,trainingrecords,andemergencyresponseplans.Conductfieldobservationsandauditstoverifycriticalcontrols,assesscontractorconformance,andescalatecorrectiveactions.Supportcommissioning,startup,andturnoverreadinessbyverifyingsafetyplanningforequipment,systems,andoperationaltransitions.Supportprojectcloseoutbyconfirmingsafetydocumentation,lessonslearned,correctiveactionclosure,andproperhandoverofEHSrecords.For the PrincipalTechnicalConsultant,ConstructionSafetyposition, the anticipated annual base pay is $137,330 – $170,592 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
