CT - Field Service Technician

Responsibilities Complete assigned installation, maintenance, repair, removal, and service orders safely and efficiently. Diagnose residential product issues and perform appropriate repairs or corrective actions. Install adapters, fittings, tubing, valves, and related components for water purification systems using approved hand and power tools. Inspect installation areas and determine whether the work can be completed safely and according to company standards. Explain the work being performed and provide customers with clear instructions regarding product operation and basic maintenance. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, customer service representatives, and other team members. Accurately complete service reports, work orders, photographs, inventory records, and other required documentation using company-approved systems and mobile applications. Follow company procedures for parts, tools, inventory, and vehicle management. Follow all company safety policies, use required personal protective equipment, and operate tools and equipment properly. Maintain the company vehicle, tools, parts, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record consistent with the requirements of the position and company policy. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, smartphones, and handheld mobile devices. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members and to complete required work documentation. Professional customer-service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage assigned appointments efficiently. Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by business needs and in compliance with applicable law. Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area using a company-provided vehicle. Physical Requirements The following physical activities are essential functions of the position. Access work areas under sinks, behind appliances, and in other residential or commercial locations. Regularly lift, carry, move, or position products, tools, parts, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally move items weighing up to 100 pounds using appropriate equipment or team assistance when required. Safely use step ladders and extension ladders up to 12 feet. Drive for extended periods throughout the assigned service territory. Safely perform work involving tools, tubing, fittings, valves, and related installation materials. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in field service, appliance repair, plumbing, construction, electrical work, maintenance, technical service, or a related field. Bilingual ability in English and Korean, Chinese, Spanish, or another language commonly used by customers in the assigned service area is helpful but not required.
