Clinical Nurse EducatorThe Clinical Nurse Educator within a unit or area of oversight is responsible for collaborating with the unit coordinator, Nurse Managers and Directors of Nursing across sites to plan and implement specific orientation, in-service education, and staff development. Ensures competency of all staff within clinical area. Provides support in review and development of departmental policies and procedures. Provides specialty-based training and education to bridge the gap between identified educational needs and clinical staff to improve patient outcomes.Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Maternity and Newborn Nursery, UHS Wilson Medical CenterPrimary Work Shift: DayRegular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36Compensation Range: $44.77 - $67.15 per hour, depending on experienceEducation/ExperienceMinimum Required:Bachelors of Science in NursingThree (3) years of nursing practice experience in a clinical settingPreferred:Masters Degree in Nursing or related fieldPrevious teaching experienceLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current New York State Registered Nurse LicenseCPR within 3 months of hireCompletion of Professional Certification within 3 years.Preferred:Professional Nursing Certification in Professional DevelopmentProfessional Certification in another nursing specialty
