Affirming Care Pharmacy is currently open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. As we continue to grow, our hours of operation may expand to include evenings in the near future.We are looking for a highly motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our incredible Affirming Care Pharmacy team in Los Angeles. Reporting to the Pharmacist-in-Charge, you will play a key role in our day-to-day pharmacy operations, helping to refine processes and ensure every patient receives the most inclusive, affirming care possible. Your work will directly support reducing health disparities and expanding access to care within diverse populations, including those in the LGBTQ2IA+ community. This is a unique opportunity to join an energetic, growing team that's deeply committed to making a difference.In this role, you'll make an impact by:Providing patient medication counselling (primarily PrEP, STI and HIV care) and delivering exceptional customer service over the phone and in personCoordinating with patients to arrange shipping and delivery preferencesManaging patients' refill cycles to prevent medication gapsAssisting patients in navigating insurance challengesSupporting Pharmacy Operations & WorkflowPartnering with the Pharmacist-in-Charge in the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring all prescriptions are dispensed and shipped accurately in accordance with state board regulationsAssisting with inventory management and auditing processes, ensuring compliance for 340B and non-340B drug inventory, and coordinating medication orders with wholesalersDemonstrating leadership through hands-on support, actively assisting Pharmacy Technicians with operational tasks to ensure workflow efficiency as Pharmacist workload permitsMaintaining Compliance & Driving CollaborationEnsuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulationsCollaborating with key team members to formulate business insights and drive operational and patient care improvementsWe need someone who has:A Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institutionAn active California Pharmacist license and in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy2+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in a retail settingExperience navigating operational, technological and strategic changeThe ability to set priorities, manage time effectively, and maintain strong attention to detailFlexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekendsA positive attitude, a strong sense of urgency and a team player mentalityStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsActive listening and strong communication skills (written and verbal)It would also be great if you have:Fluency in SpanishExperience with PioneerRxPharmacist licensure in multiple statesKnowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing ProgramCompensation:$62–$73 per hour, reviewed annuallyEarn stock options through our Equity Incentive Plan—connect your efforts to PurposeMed's growth as we work together to improve the lives of our patients across North America.The compensation listed above refers to a yearly base salary that may vary depending on a candidate's relevant qualifications, knowledge, competencies and work experience, and other factors including market conditions.
