Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Bronx, NY

Type: Contract | 14 Weeks

Pay: $67.00/hr – $84.00/hr

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12.5 Hours | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 14-week contract assignment in Bronx, NY. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across multiple levels of acuity, including critical care, emergency, and trauma settings.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care services to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

• Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Manage ventilators and advanced airway support systems.

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.

• Respond to emergency and trauma situations requiring respiratory intervention.

• Support patients in critical care, ICU, and emergency department settings.

• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies as appropriate.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with respiratory care standards, infection control practices, and hospital policies.

• Deliver high-quality patient-centered care across diverse patient populations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License.

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC.

• Current BLS Certification.

• Minimum 2 years of Adult and Pediatric General Care experience.

• Minimum 2 years of Adult and Pediatric Critical Care experience.

• Experience in Emergency and Trauma settings.

• Neonatal Care experience.

• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS Certification.

• PALS Certification.

• NRP Certification.

• Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential.
