Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Night Shift position at an orthopedic hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, requiring active IN or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in an orthopedic hospital setting
• 37-bed unit focused on post-surgical patient care, optimized per surgeon preference with established order sets and protocols
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• No on-call requirement
• No floating required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

• Fast-paced telemetry environment supporting post-surgical orthopedic patients
• Described as a great team atmosphere with established protocols and order sets
• Scrub colors: black or royal blue
• No RTO blackout dates; RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
