Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's) - Preferred
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) - Required
• Echocardiography (ECG) certification - Preferred
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - Required
• At least two years of recent experience in the field - Required

Responsibilities

• Set up ultrasound equipment and document cardiac data and measurements.
• Position patients and prepare them for sonographic imaging.
• Interview patients and review medical records to adapt sonographic techniques.
• Perform echocardiography to assess heart functions.
• Maintain equipment, manage inventories, and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Participate in educational opportunities to maintain job knowledge.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
