Marina ManagerThe Marina Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and guest experience of the full-service marina at Hawks Cay Resort. This role oversees all wet services, dock management, fueling operations, retail, maintenance, and team performance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service that aligns with the luxury standards of the resort. The Marina Manager leads the marina team, manages budgets and inventories, maintains regulatory compliance, and partners across departments to deliver exceptional experiences for boaters and resort guests.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all marina operations, including wet-slip docking, fueling, maintenance, housekeeping, and retail activities.Supervise, schedule, train, coach, and develop the marina team (including supervisors, dockhands, fuel attendants, and launch operators) to deliver consistent, high-quality service and safety standards.Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of docks, piers, fueling equipment, grounds, buildings, and marina systems to ensure they remain aesthetically and operationally excellent.Manage wet-slip rental inventory, retail inventories (fuel, ice, bait, oil), and supply inventories (maintenance, cleaning, safety, and oil-spill equipment).Develop and manage marina operating budgets, control expenses, and support revenue goals through slip rentals, fuel sales, and retail.Ensure full compliance with all harbor regulations, contractual provisions, safety protocols, environmental requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.Maintain strong working relationships with the U.S. Coast Guard, local authorities, and other regulatory agencies.Know and enforce hurricane, storm, fire, first-aid, freeze, and oil-spill procedures; lead team response during emergencies and severe weather events.Oversee live-bait keeping procedures and compliance with related laws.Coordinate and support special marina events, tournaments, and resort activities.Ensure proficiency in VHF radio operations and emergency communication protocols across the team.Conduct regular inspections of marina facilities and equipment; prioritize and schedule repairs and improvements.Partner with other resort departments to support guest needs, special events, and overall operational excellence.Act as the primary point of contact for marina-related guest service recovery and escalate issues appropriately.Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for marina operations.Perform other duties as assigned by resort leadership.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in marine management, hospitality, business, or related field preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of progressive marina or waterfront operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role at a large-scale or luxury marina preferred.Strong experience handling boats of various sizes and knowledge of docking, fueling, and marina best practices.Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop a diverse team.Solid understanding of marina regulations, safety procedures, environmental compliance, and emergency response protocols.Experience managing inventories, budgets, and vendor relationships preferred.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.Ability to swim; knowledge of man-overboard procedures; CPR and basic first-aid certification (or ability to obtain promptly).Reliable cell phone for emergency contact.Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Flexible schedule: typically full-time with weekends, holidays, and on-call availability for emergencies and storms required.BenefitsCompetitive salaryHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEmployee discounts on resort accommodations, dining, and activitiesProfessional development and training opportunitiesEmployee recognition programsComplimentary or discounted meals (based on position)Housing options may be available for eligible associatesSupportive, team-oriented work environment in a beautiful Florida Keys resort settingEqual Employment OpportunityHawks Cay Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
