WHY JOIN ALO? Mindful movement. It's at the core of why we do what we do at ALO-it's our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That's the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life. OVERVIEW As we continue to inspire mindful movement around the globe, we are seeking a Footwear Designer at ALO. The ideal candidate loves creating and designing in a fast-paced environment. Heavily led by VP of design and Snr Director of Accessories & Footwear and partnering with teammates.
The chosen candidate thrives on team collaboration and building functional working relationships to help bring the teams to successful project completion - from concept to reality. You will work on designs that push the possibilities of street style, wellness & luxury through footwear. This role will work on product ranging across Mens, Womens and inclusive product with the potential to work on performance and street footwear. We expect you to explore new opportunities, take risks, and change the game! In your day to day, you will engage with project teammates on researching, gaining insights, problem solving around performance and manufacturing, working with athletes, and creating a vast range of inspiring and creative solutions. You strive for sustainable options and are considerate of cost. With each project, you are expected to also participate and present the work in both formal and informal reviews with design leadership and business partners. In addition to individual project work, the Designer II will also collaborate and engage their design teammates and Product Merch team. As a Designer I, you will be working hand-in-hand with a multidisciplinary project team of accessory and footwear cross functional partners, while collaborating within the design community of your design peers within a small footwear team. This is an exciting position to be a part of building footwear for the brand in a new way. It's a once in lifetime opportunity that will be a part of a new category. As we grow this category the potential is endless and inspiring.
