Immediate opening for a Machinist in Cincinnati, OH who possesses:

• 1 to 3+ years of machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machine tools
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others
• Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Machinist to support manual and CNC machining operations in a manufacturing environment. This permanent, onsite role is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools, producing precision metal and plastic components according to engineering specifications, reading blueprints and work orders, selecting appropriate tooling and machine settings, inspecting completed parts, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining quality and production standards. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading and inspection skills, and the ability to work independently on 2nd shift while contributing positively to a stable, team-oriented machine shop environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools
• Operating lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and related machining equipment as needed
• Manufacturing precision metal and plastic components according to engineering specifications
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications
• Selecting appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feeds for machining operations
• Monitoring machine operations and making adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency
• Performing conventional milling and turning operations
• Supporting prototype and production machining runs
• Performing precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection tools
• Inspecting completed parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Troubleshooting machining or equipment issues as needed
• Applying knowledge of machining processes, materials, tooling, and machine operations
• Working independently on assigned machines and production tasks
• Providing assistance or technical guidance to less-experienced machine operators as needed
• Working with engineering, quality, production, and machine shop team members
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Following all shop, quality, production, and safety procedures
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• 1 to 3+ years of machining experience preferred
• Candidates with relevant machining education, certification, or less experience may be considered
• Manual machining experience preferred
• CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience operating lathes and mills preferred
• Experience with grinders, drill presses, or related machining equipment preferred
• Ability to set up and operate machine tools required
• Blueprint and engineering drawing reading experience required
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision measuring tools required
• Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes required
• Knowledge of materials, tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
• Strong commitment to quality and accuracy required
• Strong attention to detail required
• Ability to work independently required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout a machine shop for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to use hands and fingers for machine setup, tool changes, equipment operation, inspection, measurement, and standard machining tasks
• Ability to operate manual and CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and related shop equipment
• Ability to visually inspect machined parts, blueprints, drawings, measurements, tooling, and completed work for accuracy and quality
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools
• Ability to work around machinery, metal and plastic materials, tooling, production equipment, and normal machine shop activity
• Ability to perform repetitive motions while maintaining accuracy and safety
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all manufacturing, machining, shop, and safety procedures
• Ability to maintain focus, accuracy, and attention to detail while working independently during 2nd shift

Salary Range: $24 to $28/hour, with flexibility up to approximately $30/hour for highly experienced candidates
