Competitive Team Gymnastics Coach Twist 'N Flip Gymnastics | Glenmont, NY $18–$20/hour | Part-time | 2–3 evening shifts per week Love gymnastics? Come coach athletes who are ready to grow. We're looking for a Competitive Team Gymnastics Coach to join our growing program and work with athletes competing at Xcel Bronze and above . This is a great opportunity for an experienced gymnast or coach who wants to stay connected to the sport, work with motivated athletes, and make a real impact- without committing to a full-time schedule. You'll be part of a supportive coaching team focused on developing strong skills, confident athletes, and a positive team culture. What You'll Do Coach Xcel team athletes at Bronze level and above Teach strong technique, body positions, shaping, and skill progressions Provide spotting and hands-on coaching appropriate to the athlete and skill Give clear, positive feedback and real-time corrections Help athletes prepare skills and routines for competition Support athletes' confidence, consistency, and overall development Contribute to a positive, encouraging team environment Communicate with fellow coaches and leadership about athlete progress and needs Attend occasional weekend competitions during the competitive season, based on availability and program needs What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has a strong gymnastics background through competitive gymnastics, coaching, or both Is comfortable working with intermediate-level gymnasts and developing skills safely Enjoys teaching, mentoring, and building relationships with athletes Brings energy, professionalism, and reliability to every practice Works well as part of a coaching team Is eager to continue learning and developing as a coach Previous competitive coaching experience is preferred, but we're open to athletes and coaches with strong gymnastics backgrounds who are ready to take the next step. Skills & Experience You should be comfortable coaching foundational/intermediate skills and progressions such as: Floor: Running tumbling and progression work Bars: Squat-ons, back hip circles, and related progressions Beam: Cartwheels, back walkovers, dismounts, and related progressions If you have experience coaching more advanced skills, that's a plus! Schedule & Pay $18–$20/hour , based on experience and coaching ability. 2–3 evening shifts per week Typical hours: 5:00–8:30 PM Approximately 7–10.5 hours per week , with additional hours potentially available Occasional weekend competitions during the competitive season We're happy to work with the right coach to create a consistent schedule that fits their availability.
