Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts may vary with options for 3 x 12s: Days from 06:00 to 18:30, 07:00 to 19:30, or 08:00 to 20:30. Call requirements include Saturday and Sunday on a rotational basis. Call is approximately once every six weeks, but may occur as frequently as once every four weeks.

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit provides a high level of care for patients undergoing catheterization procedures. The nurse evaluates assigned patients, plans, implements, and documents nursing care while assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Admit patients and perform pre-procedural assessments.
• Prepare patients for catheterization procedures, including charting pre-procedure checklists, starting IVs, and accessing preparation.
• Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
• Monitor and recover patients following sedation during catheterization.
• Conduct bedside procedures including CV & TEE, ensuring proper documentation.
• Provide patient discharge instructions and ensure all documentation is complete.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Arizona or a compact state.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center is preferred and will be evaluated case by case.
