- Lead critical capabilities from problem framing and design through implementation, rollout, adoption, and operational hand-off.
- Drive low-latency processing architecture, including event-driven services, cloud infrastructure optimization, and algorithmic optimization.
- Set direction for geospatial data storage, cataloging, serving, tiling, STAC catalogs, IAM topology, reprocessing, and versioning.
- Build MLOps foundations including model packaging and versioning, experiment tracking, GPU-backed training and inference, A/B evaluation, and reproducibility.
- Set standards for code organization, release engineering, testing, documentation, code review, observability, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate with Product, Program Management, Business Development, Software, science, and flight-software teams and translate ambiguous requirements into engineering plans.
- Mentor engineers and raise team standards for failure modes, immutability, idempotency, reprocessing, and operational readiness.
