Tax Accountant

Zingaro, Fidler, Wolfe & Co. is partnering with a growing privately held investment and asset management organization in Austin, Texas, to identify a Tax Accountant for a high-visibility opportunity within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong partnership tax accounting and full-cycle accounting experience who is seeking long-term growth, stability, and meaningful exposure across tax, accounting, and financial reporting. This organization focuses on acquiring and managing oil & gas mineral and royalty interests across major U.S. basins. Position Overview The Tax Accountant will serve as a key accounting partner supporting tax and financial operations across approximately 40 entities. This role offers broad exposure to partnership tax accounting, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, accountable, highly organized, and comfortable working in a hands‑on environment with meaningful visibility to leadership. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparation and coordination of tax support schedules across approximately 40 entities Review draft tax filings for accuracy and compliance Manage mineral asset property tax processes Prepare and file annual 1099s (MISC / NEC / INT) Perform full-cycle accounting from journal entries through financial reporting Complete account reconciliations including cash, A/R, A/P, and fixed assets Support ongoing financial reporting and operational accounting needs Qualifications 5+ years of partnership tax accounting experience required Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Strong Excel skills (intermediate or better) High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Why Consider This Opportunity?
