General Machinist

In this role, you'll serve as a versatile machining professional, supporting multiple manufacturing departments based on business needs. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of machining operations, including CNC machining, manual lathes, grinding, milling, drilling, and other precision manufacturing processes. Product knowledge can be taught. We're looking for someone who brings a strong machining foundation, a willingness to learn, a great work ethic, and the initiative to continuously improve. Requirements What you'll do as a General Machinist, you will: Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including: CNC machines Manual lathes Milling machines grinders Saws Other precision manufacturing equipment Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Set up machines and equipment to produce precision components to specification. Monitor machining operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality. Inspect completed parts using measuring equipment and quality standards. Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with additional manufacturing tasks as business needs require. What you'll accomplish Produce precision-machined components that meet demanding quality standards. Become a valued resource capable of supporting multiple machining departments. Continuously develop your machining knowledge and technical skills. Help improve manufacturing efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality. Contribute to a team focused on craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications: What we're looking for High school diploma or GED. Machinist apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on machining experience. Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred experience with one or more of the following is a plus: CNC machining Manual lathe operation Grinding Milling Precision machining Machine setup Quality inspection Precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges) Manufacturing or industrial production environments the type of person that succeeds here we're looking for someone who: Enjoys learning new skills and expanding their machining knowledge.
