Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, meal preparation and medication administration
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams
• Support residents during outings and activities within the community to promote social engagement and independence
• Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and incident reports in accordance with privacy laws such as HIPAA
• Follow safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for residents
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, residents, families, and community partners
• Knowledge of safety procedures including CPR certification and first aid training ensures preparedness for emergencies
