Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Float Pool Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as part of a float pool, rotating to all MS Tele units as needed
• Float to like units and overflow areas as required
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete and pass a Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exam (administered via Zoom) prior to assignment — 85% passing score required, one attempt only
• Apply knowledge of critical pathways and participate in professional development activities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Must pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (85% passing score, one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit)
• Candidates must have been separated from this facility network for at least six months to be eligible for consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Documented professional development activities
• Familiarity with critical pathways in a Med-Surg Telemetry setting
