SCHEDULE:

Part-Time 1 to 4 Evenings per Week – No Minimum Requirement

STUDIO HOURS:

Monday to Thursday 3:00pm to 8:00pm

COMPENSATION:

$27+ per Hour Training & Development Provided

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The new teacher will focus primarily on piano instruction. The new instructor will work with a small team and gain valuable insight into teaching and mentoring. The instructor will work with ages 6 and up. Overall responsibilities include: teaching individual piano lessons teaching theory, technique, performance, and composition in individual and group settings utilizing exercises and games to help motivate students to learn ideas and techniques conducting ongoing assessments of student achievements through formal and planning and using appropriate instructional and learning strategies co-teaching a piano-based music curriculum participating in planning meetings contributing towards organizing activities, curriculum design, and student/parent feedback helping to coordinate and support program activities helping to apply and enforce student discipline when necessary This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator to make an impact in the lives of youth through music and arts. While teaching experience is preferred, UpBeat also places high value on passion and the ability to effectively interact with children and is willing to provide the training for those without extensive teaching experience.
