Vascular Technologist/ Sonographer

Overview The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing mobile vascular diagnostic imaging studies. The technologist should be able to independently perform vascular ultrasounds to assist physicians in identifying arterial circulation issues and reflux studies for venous insufficiency. Experience in vascular sonography is preferred but not required. Duties include preparing patients for exam, transferring and positioning the patient, operating ultrasound equipment to produce quality images for diagnostic purposes, and recording and interpreting findings in a preliminary report. Travel and Site Information Exams will take place in our outpatient office as well as off-site locations. Travel between sites will be required. Responsibilities Prepare patients for exam and position them properly. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce quality images for diagnostic purposes. Record and interpret findings of the studies in a preliminary report. Independently perform vascular ultrasound studies to assist physicians in identifying arterial circulation issues and venous reflux issues. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent (Graduate of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology is Required). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) – preferred; RDMS – Required. Valid driver’s license. Minimum work experience: 1 year. Compensation Total compensation is based on experience and may include base salary, bonuses, and other incentive pay.
