In this full-time, remote role, you will deliver essential mental health services to students, playing a crucial role in enhancing their emotional well-being and academic success.

Work Environment\nThis position operates remotely, though you will interact with the school community and healthcare professionals at the Community Health Clinic. You will have access to state-of-the-art telehealth technologies that enable effective communication and care delivery. The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends required to provide comprehensive mental health support. On-call availability may also be needed for urgent mental health situations.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, examining their personal histories, current concerns, and potential risk factors to accurately gauge their psychological needs. \n
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, targeting specific mental health challenges and fostering emotional resilience while facilitating their integration into the school community. \n
- Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, tailored to each student's unique circumstances. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging personal growth, emotional regulation, and coping strategies that students can utilize both within and outside the school environment. \n
- Work alongside multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide coordinated care that encompasses all aspects of student wellness. \n
- Respond to crises by utilizing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate support during mental health emergencies, including making appropriate referrals when higher levels of care are necessary. \n
- Educate students and their families about mental health issues, empowering them with knowledge of treatment options and available community resources to foster greater understanding and engagement. \n
- Maintain meticulous records of assessments and treatment documentation, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards. \n
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices and enhance collaboration across disciplines. \n
- Stay informed of current laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to mental health practices in educational settings. \n

Qualifications\n- \n
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n
- Valid and current LCSW licensure in the state of Kansas. \n

- A collaborative spirit essential for functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team. \n

- Prior experience in a school setting or working with youth in a therapeutic capacity is highly desirable. \n
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and providing virtual therapy sessions. \n
The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
