Investment Director

The Deputy Director of Project Acquisition Finance will lead the evaluation, structuring, and execution of acquisitions and investments in utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. This role spans investment, development, construction, and operations, with oversight of power marketing strategies and long-term asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end acquisition and investment processes
- Build and manage project finance models and valuation analyses
- Structure equity, debt, and tax equity transactions
- Oversee power marketing strategy (PPAs, tolling, merchant revenues)
- Collaborate on construction execution (EPC contracts, budgets, schedules)
- Lead financing processes with lenders and investors
- Monitor portfolio performance and optimize asset value
Power Marketing Oversight
- Structure and negotiate PPAs and tolling agreements
- Evaluate merchant exposure and ancillary service revenues
- Develop hedging and revenue optimization strategies
- Monitor regulatory and market developments
Construction & Development Oversight
- Assess EPC contracts and construction risks
- Track project milestones (NTP, COD)
- Evaluate supply chain and execution risks
- Support development strategy and pipeline prioritization
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ years in renewable energy or infrastructure finance
- Proven experience in solar and/or BESS transactions
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Deep understanding of energy markets and revenue models
- Experience with project finance and capital structuring
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in U.S. power markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM) and South America (Chile, Argentina, Brazil)
- Background in IPP, developer, or infrastructure fund
- Chinese language proficiency desirable, but not required.
