Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and some medical-surgical overflow. The role requires independent practice in a clinical setting, addressing complex patient needs, and collaborating with care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details: Position Description: The Telemetry Nurse manages patients with cardiac issues such as MI, CHF, Arrhythmias, PVD, and certain medical-surgical cases. The department performs many cardiac rips and manages drips without nitrate administration. Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from AHA (American Heart Association) are required. RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of employment or a compact license is necessary. Minimum of 0 years of experience required, with 1 year preferred. Schedule: Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Responsibilities: Providing independent, routine, and complex nursing care, utilizing the nursing process, administering medications and treatments, monitoring side effects, documenting patient data, and educating patients and families. Additional Information: All new experienced RNs must attend a New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire and complete competency validations, including med-surg specific and organizational onboarding requirements.
