Part-Time Accounting Specialist Location: Santa Teresa, New Mexico Schedule: Part-Time, 4 Hours per Day (Monday–Friday) Pay Rate: $19.00 per Hour Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Specialist to join our team in Santa Teresa, NM . This position is ideal for a professional with a strong accounting background who is comfortable working with financial data, processing transactions, and supporting daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, experience using SAP , and the ability to communicate effectively in English. This role requires a motivated individual who can work independently while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Due to the location and work schedule requirements, candidates must have reliable transportation and reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Santa Teresa, NM. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely. Enter, maintain, and reconcile financial data within the SAP system. Assist with daily accounting activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and supporting documentation. Verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and compliance. Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections activities as needed. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Review financial information and identify discrepancies or irregularities. Maintain organized accounting files and records in accordance with company policies. Assist management with financial reporting and ad hoc accounting projects. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and company procedures. Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience preferred. Experience working with SAP is required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional verbal and written communication skills in English. Job Requirements Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience using SAP accounting or ERP systems. Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal). Reliable transportation for daily travel to Santa Teresa, NM. Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Santa Teresa, NM. Ability to work Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day. Ability to pass pre-employment screening if applicable. Preferred Prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or industrial environments. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or general ledger functions. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
