Client Services Manager***This opportunity is an in-person position located in downtown Chicago at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk at 301 East North Water Street, Chicago, IL 60611***Our Client Services Manager coordinates and oversees tradeshow production and provides on-site supervision at tradeshow venue for a variety of accounts. Reports directly to the Associate Director of Client Services/Director of Client Services.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the management of shows from planning stages through collection of invoice, including:collaborating with clients to gather information, help influence decision making and manage to customer expectationsfloor plan managementwriting work ordersoverseeing the creation, approval and distribution of service kitsworking with internal departments to ensure work orders are completedoverseeing the set-up and tear down of showsgenerating show management invoices and following up until collectedAct as a liaison with show management, exhibitors, facility staffs, production personnel, internal clients and ancillary vendors with regard to all services and build working relationships with allEnsure all events are produced within established budget guidelines. Budget and fiscal responsibility on assigned events including accuracy, forecasting and managementFulfill role in Show Planning process as required on assigned showsManages to provided Key Performance IndicatorsBasic understanding of pricing models/estimationBasic understanding of GES and onPeak Products and ServicesAdhere to all Business Standard Operating ProceduresPerforms other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the positionQualificationsCollege degree preferred(2) years experience in the tradeshow, convention, hospitality industry or similar experience preferredAbility to communicate and work collaborativelyCapable of running new/modified processesProficient in multisystem managementAbility to foster customer relationshipsPotential Travel 25-50%General accounting and finance knowledgeMust be extremely detail oriented and able to multi-taskUnderstands and works in lateral work streamsWork EnvironmentRequires ability to adapt to multiple settings and shifting responsibilities.Must be able to work under pressureOpportunity to work nights, weekends and at showsitePosition may require long hours during several months of the year. Typically performs work on the event floor, in noisy and crowded areasFrequently encounters uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditionsRequires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphereRequires working with union and non-union employeesCompensation: $60,000.00+. The pay range and actual offers are based on a variety of individualized factors including skills, qualifications, experience, location and role specific competencies. Some positions may also offer additional earnings, such as bonuses, incentives or commissions.
