Snow Team Member — Shoveler / Plow Truck Helper
Company: U.S. Lawns of Sewell & Vineland
Season: Winter / on-call during snow and ice events
Reports to: Snow Team Lead or Operations Manager
Position overview
U.S. Lawns of Sewell & Vineland is seeking dependable Snow Team Members to help keep our clients’ properties safe and accessible during winter weather. Depending on the assignment, you may clear snow by hand or assist a plow-truck operator. Snow events may occur overnight, on weekends, or during holidays, and team members must be ready to work when called.
Responsibilities

• Shovel snow from sidewalks, entrances, steps, and other assigned areas.
• Assist the plow-truck operator by monitoring surroundings, communicating hazards, and helping with site tasks.
• Apply salt or other de-icing materials as directed.
• Follow the site plan and supervisor instructions; protect vehicles, landscaping, buildings, and other property.
• Use snow-removal tools and equipment safely and report damage or hazards promptly.
• Dress appropriately for cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.
• Maintain clear communication with the team and arrive at assigned locations on time.
• Work safely around moving vehicles, snow-removal equipment, traffic, and slippery surfaces.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to snow-event call-outs.
• Able to work outdoors for extended periods in cold and stormy conditions.
• Able to shovel, lift, carry, and move snow or materials repeatedly; reasonable accommodations may be available.
• Able to follow safety instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record may be required for some assignments.
• Previous snow-removal experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule and conditions
Work is weather-dependent and may involve overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Start times and shift length can change based on storm conditions and customer needs. Snow work may be physically demanding and performed on uneven, icy, or low-visibility surfaces.
Compensation
Hourly pay, overtime eligibility, and any on-call or event-pay arrangements will be explained during the hiring process and handled in accordance with applicable law.
