Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Neuro Med-Surg Telemetry – Maryland

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; every other weekend and holiday required; patient ratio 1:5

Highlights:

• 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Contract lengths flexible beyond 13 weeks based on candidate availability
• Comprehensive neurologic patient population including CVA, ischemic stroke, epilepsy, seizures, and post-neurosurgery care
• Telemetry overflow unit with continuous bedside EEG monitoring and advanced neuro technologies
• Charting system: Cerner
• Strong interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience required; teaching hospital and Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias required and must be completed before orientation
• Maryland-approved trauma education (16 hours by week 27), 8 hours annual stroke CEs, and 4 hours annual trauma-related CEs required
• TCRN certification preferred
• CVA/acute stroke care, pre/post-neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury experience required
• Experience with feeding-tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care, renal failure, surgical drains, wound care/wound VAC, oxygen administration, and isolation/PPE required
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units within scope
