Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — School Evaluations Only

Chattanooga, TN | $65 per hour | 30–40 hours per week

Hybrid: Conduct testing in schools and complete reports from home.

Put your assessment skills to work without an ongoing therapy caseload. Lighthouse Therapy LLC is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate preschool and school-age children in Chattanooga schools.

Both evaluations and report writing are paid at $65 per hour. This role offers 30–40 hours per week, with in-person school testing and the flexibility to complete reports from home. School visits are coordinated around school schedules and evaluation deadlines.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and reevaluations for preschool and school-age students.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret appropriate assessments of articulation, phonology, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
• Review relevant records, gather parent and teacher input, and complete observations as needed.
• Prepare clear evaluation reports with findings, educational impact, and eligibility recommendations.
• Collaborate with school teams and participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings as needed.
• Complete evaluations and documentation within required timelines and applicable Tennessee special education requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

• A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• A current Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• A current Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with the appropriate Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Strong assessment, report-writing, organization, and communication skills.

Experience with school-based or preschool evaluations, Tennessee special education eligibility procedures, and differential diagnosis is preferred.
