Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Packaging Machine Operator and become a vital part of our production process! In this energetic role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain packaging machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality packaging of products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your mechanical skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food production environment.

Bayview / St Francis Area, 2nd shift 12:30pm - 8:30pm. $18 - $25 based on experience

$5,000 signing bonus

Duties

• Operate packaging machines efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal downtime
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal operation
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent malfunctions
• Use hand tools and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for setup and material movement
• Follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards
• Assist in material handling, loading raw materials and finished goods using forklifts or other equipment

Requirements

• Prior experience operating packaging machinery or industrial equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with machining is advantageous for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, counts, and adjustments
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including GMP and OSHA regulations
• Valid certification or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for precise machine operation
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift in a fast-paced setting
