Exciting Opportunity in Labor and Delivery Job Description: - Location: Dickson, TN - Unit Name: Women’s Services - Shift: Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends and holidays Unit Specifics: - Number of Beds: - LDRP: 9 beds - OBED: 1 bed - NICU: 4 beds - 1 OR suite - Patient Ratios: - 1:1 for active labors, inductions, C-sections - Couple care: 1:3 - Newborns: 1:1 until stable - NICU: 1:3 intermediate care (2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if needed) - Staffing Description: No techs or unit secretaries available - Type of Equipment: - CPN Central monitoring - IV pumps - Infant warmers - Tele-med robot for neonatologist - Bili-blankets - PCA pumps - Documentation System: Meditech and CPN - Floating Policy: Regular staff will float within the facility as needed; some staff cross-trained to float between LDRP & NICU - Patient Experience Requirements: Daily rounding on all patients and safety rounding Hiring Profile: - Requested Skill Set: - Must have labor and delivery experience - Ability to labor and recover mothers and transition newborns with assessment - Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred - Advanced Skills Needed: - Fetal monitoring education - Experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil) - Procedures Performed on Unit: - C-sections - Circumcisions - Intra-uterine monitoring - Vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries - Certifications Required: - BLS - NRP - Fetal Monitoring training Dress Code: - Required uniform: Pink and/or brown scrubs per the infant security policy for the unit Additional Benefits: - Join a team of 6 seasoned RNs with approx. 30 years’ experience each - Great resources and preceptors available for support - Experience working in a collaborative and supportive environment - Ideal opportunity to gain skills in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonate care Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
