Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager (South Central) is responsible for developing and implementing regional growth strategies in conjunction with product management to meet and exceed revenue goals. This strategic leader drives sales growth and market share gain opportunities with new and existing customers, manages the sales effectiveness of the independent sales teams, and ensures that the sales funnel remains on track to deliver to budget expectations. The Regional Sales Manager leads major selling situations and monitors all sales activity within the Texas region on a monthly basis. Responsibilities Create and implement dynamic and forward-thinking channel go-to-market strategies within all diverse customer channels to achieve annual sales growth goals. Achieve and exceed the forecasted sales target and profit margin. Strategically develop, grow and evolve the sales funnel for future growth. Accountable for the success and effectiveness of the sales rep teams’ performance within the region. Delegate sales strategies and yearly targets, set up frequent review meetings and follow-ups to provide direction to the rep network to effectively sell to the market channels and set the teams up for success. Partner with rep principal(s) on staffing and personnel situations. Develop regional forecast and countermeasures to ensure sales goals are kept on track for execution. Drive accountability with individual sales reps, provide coaching and mentoring. Consulted and influential in the performance management process of the regional reps. Own key account and market channel management for customer leaders at regional level. Develop and nurture key partnerships with Distribution and Contractors. Maintain regional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process and sales funnel report‑out. Drive price management process at regional sales rep leader level. Actively involved with national industry groups, such as American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) and Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or equivalent field required. 10+ years of indirect sales management experience (channel partners, distributors, manufacturing representative agencies, etc.) managing a third‑party rep network. 5+ more years of direct team management preferred. Experience in the manufacturing, construction, HVAC, plumbing & mechanical, or similar industry required. Ability to lead indirect sales team with influence and understand that success through other people’s performance is vital to the job. Must have the ability to train and motivate a sales force, and develop and execute strategic and tactical action plans. Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions. Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances. Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments. Uses compelling arguments and influence to gain the support and commitment of others. Ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel. Must have the ability to communicate and facilitate up and across. Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce CRM preferred. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned territory. Must reside in Texas, preferably Dallas or Houston area. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary Range: $125,319 - $172,314. The compensation range(s) identified above is a good faith estimate of the salary expected to be paid as performed from these locations. Actual salaries may vary based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, education and training, and other relevant business and organizational factors. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
