The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a Trademark Paralegal you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Global trademark clearance.
• Prosecution and maintenance of a global trademark portfolio.
• Global trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting efforts.
• Communicating with business clients and outside counsel regarding trademark and copyright matters globally.
• Trademark-related transactional work including licensing, divestments, and acquisitions as necessary.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (completed and verified prior to start)
• Domestic and/or foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Certification in an ABA accredited paralegal / legal assistant program
• Three (3) years of domestic and foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Certification in an ABA accredited paralegal/legal assistant program
• At least five (5) years of domestic and foreign trademark paralegal work experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Experience in both private practice and in-house is preferred
• International trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement experience, including an understanding of the Madrid Protocol, Paris Convention and trademark docketing protocols.
• Collaborative, detailed, performance-driven, professional, looking to expand knowledge and responsibilities over time
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Experience with Trademark Docketing Software. Experience with ANAQUA is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator.

Work location:

• This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
