Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a 48-bed Telemetry unit specializing in surgical and neuro cases.


• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5, ensuring comprehensive care for a variety of diagnoses, including COVID, respiratory issues, GI, and diabetic patients.


• Interpret and document telemetry strips at least once per shift; strips monitored remotely.


• Utilize Bipap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment in patient care.


• Participate in a self-scheduling process with a four-week schedule rotation, inclusive of every other weekend and holiday rotations.


• Float to the East Campus or PCU as needed, provided qualifications are met.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.


• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required.


• Proficiency in reading basic telemetry strips and experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients.


• Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred.


• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, with requisite weekend and holiday work.


• Ability to float to other units as per unit requirements.
