This position provides specialized professional therapeutic programming to offenders in an alcohol and other drug treatment program at Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) – Moose Lake. Responsibilities Under limited supervision, the incumbent performs all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho‑educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training and upholding professional standards. Minimum Qualifications Current licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent, and a temporary ADC permit within 60 calendar days of employment. One year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders and/or co‑occurring disorders; OR Master’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program. If the degree is not listed above, an unofficial transcript may be requested. Knowledge of substance‑use treatment methods and practices; professional, legal, and ethical standards, best practices, and community standards of care. Proficient documentation skills and strong verbal/written communication. Interpersonal/human relations skills. Basic personal computer skills. Ability to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans and continuing care plans. Ability to teach a psycho‑educational course, collaborate within a multi‑disciplinary team, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional boundaries. Preferred Qualifications Current Minnesota LADC licensure at time of hire. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Psychology, Social Work or related Behavioral Science or Social Science program. Experience working in a correctional/secure setting.
