Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Shift Details

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
• On-call hours: Yes, 100 hours required
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, on-call duties
• Floating between units: Required based on unit needs

Patient Ratios

The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of PACU or ICU experience preferred
• Certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Charting System: Experience with Epic required

Special Skills

The following skills and expertise are required:

• End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
• Airway assessment
• Central line management
• Blood product administration
• Discharge instructions
• Pain management (including narcotics and analgesics)
• Conscious Sedation and procedural sedation administration
• Ventilator management
• Emergency medications and reversal agents

Facility Information

This position is located in various facilities across Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent, OR .

All staff beds across the facility total 109, and various support services, such as Physical Therapy and Social Services, are available.

Additional Notes

• All staff may be required to float to other units based on their skill sets and the needs of the facility.
• Transportation is required for this assignment.
• Orientation hours will be provided upon assignment.
