Mechanic Apprentice / Dryer Scraper

Unitex is currently seeking a skilled Mechanic Apprentice to join our team in Newburgh, NY . This position is great for someone with mechanical abilities and has tremendous growth potential. Compensation $18.00 per hour. The salary range for this position is $18.00/hour to $18.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors. Schedule Monday‑Saturday 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, days off being Sunday and Monday. To be discussed during screening prior to interview, based on seniority per Union Contract. Requirements Strong desire to learn industrial laundry maintenance and grow within the company. Punctual and reliable a must. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred. Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments. A computerized assessment is utilized as part of the recruiting process.
