Job SummaryThe QA Inspector Level I audits processes to ensure all systems and procedures are being followed and inspects product to ensure requirements are being met.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions/duty satisfactorily. Other duties/functions may be added or assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesN/AOperationsInspects finished or in-process products against standards using simple measuring tools and equipment for acceptance or rejection.Assures compliance with regards to line clearance, raw materials, in-process inspection, manufacturing, and housekeeping.Uses basis math skills, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments.Checks reports, forms, records and comparable data to ensure compliance to procedures and requirements.Use of some judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and/or practices involving making minor decisions.Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.Additional duties as assigned.SafetyComply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision. Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.Attend scheduled EHS trainings.Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals. Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment.Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.Product Safety and QualityFollows and ensures adherence to Product Safety and Quality standards.Follows GMP’s regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.Follows and ensures adherence to IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.Minimum Requirements (include education, experience, special skills, licenses and/or certifications required.)The list below represents the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
