Overview Alltown Fresh is looking to add a Line Cook 2 to our team. We are seeking a person who is passionate about the kitchen and preparing dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Your Role, Your Impact You will work directly with our culinary team, using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat and other meal prep. Responsible for prepping, labeling and stocking ingredients while maintaining an organized and efficient workspace. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins. Interacting with guests throughout the day to showcase our passion for foodservice and hospitality. Assists in training new culinary hires. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and recognize team. Able to quickly and accurately complete tasks. Awareness of ingredients and potential allergens within recipes; pays special attention to guests with allergies or specific diet concerns. Communicates inventory and kitchen needs to the Chef, including prep, grab-and-go items, cleaning and sanitization items, and paper goods. Understands and follows safe food handling procedures. Rotates stock items and stores produce at appropriate temperatures. Takes ownership of the dish station, ensuring it is set up and stocked, and washes dishes as needed. Follows and performs daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Empties trash as needed daily. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Qualifications Basic knife and food preparation skills. Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Understanding of safe food handling and storage. Must obtain ServSafe certification. High school diploma or GED. ServSafe certification preferred. Pay Range: $17.75 - $21.18 The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual or department performance and market factors.
