Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Oncology Outpatient Clinic position requiring a CT or compact RN license and prior oncology experience.

Details

• Work in an outpatient cancer center clinic setting
• Coverage pool includes medical oncology and hematology oncology patients
• Works closely with nursing staff in the chemotherapy infusion room but does not directly administer infusion therapies
• 8-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• No weekends, no on-call, and no major holidays required
• Responsibilities include answering phone triage calls and problem solving with the clinical team to meet patient care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Oncology patient care experience required
• Outpatient ambulatory care or outpatient clinic experience highly preferred
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card preferred
• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

Additional Information

• May be exposed to communicable/infectious diseases and other disagreeable working conditions
• May be exposed to risk of injury from assaultive or abusive patients
• Orientation occurs every other Friday and is conducted virtually, with assigned modules to complete before reporting onsite the following Tuesday
• Local candidates are accepted
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
