Assistant Director of Nursing

Assistant Director of NursingWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading and managing the nursing department within our skilled nursing facility. The ADON plays a key role in ensuring high-quality clinical care, regulatory compliance, and staff development while fostering a collaborative and resident-centered environment.Key responsibilities:Assist the Director of Nursing in the overall management of nursing servicesProvide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to nursing staffOversee day-to-day clinical operations, including staffing and workflowParticipate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiativesMonitor clinical outcomes such as wounds, falls, infections, and rehospitalizationsEnsure compliance with state and federal regulations, including CMS standardsSupport staff education, training, and competency validationAssist with scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluationsServe as a clinical resource and assist with complex resident care needsCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal resident outcomesEnsure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)Minimum qualifications:Current RN license in the state of employment.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience in skilled nursing or long-term carePrior leadership or charge nurse experience preferredStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical best practicesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead, coach, and motivate nursing staffExperience with electronic medical records (EMR).Physical/other requirements:Ability to lift/move residents and stand for extended periods.Pass background check, drug screen, and TB/health screening per facility policy.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, vision insuranceRetirement plan (401k)Paid time off, paid holidaysEmployee assistance programs and professional developmentCollaborative leadership environmentSchedule:Full-time, salaried position with flexibility as needed to support the clinical operations; on-call responsibilities as needed.EEOC Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment.
