Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics on the Medical/Surgical unit, including patients with high-volume pulmonary issues, infections, oncology cases, some surgical patients, and end-of-life care.
- Monitor telemetry data via central monitoring location and respond to alarms; perform peripheral IV care and manage oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support as needed.
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary).
- Document care in EPIC charting system; participate in rapid response and code situations; utilize unit-based resources and support staff as appropriate.
- Maintain night shift patient ratios of approximately 1:5 or 1:6; floating within scope of practice per unit/manager discretion.

Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- References required; submit recent Nursys verification and required certifications with submission
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Relias EKG requirement: complete within 72 hours after signing; onsite exam with readiness to pass (85% overall and 100% critical rhythms); remediation eligibility applies
- Local radius restriction: permanent address within 50 miles of Saratoga cannot be accepted
- Education: RN licensure; evidence of required certifications and credentials prior to start
