Registered Nurse - Pre/Post Op

Day Shift. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift. Start time varies, it can start as early as 0600am and latest is 1100am. this position is for Outpatient Surgery and not for Surgery Department/Intraop or procedure area/operating room. Responsibilities include Pre-op, Pre-Admission Testing, and Post-op or Phase 2 Recovery where outpatient surgery patients are discharged home. We are looking for a nurse with prior Epic Optime experience who can quickly integrate into the role and maintain the expected pace and productivity in a high-volume clinical setting.Nestled between Burbank and Pasadena, Adventist Health Glendale is one of the area's leading healthcare providers. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): PreferredAcute care facility experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: RequiredCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFacility Specific License/Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredDepartment Specific License/Certifications:Advanced Cardiovascular?Life Support (ACLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredEssential Functions:Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient?s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient?s situation.Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse, Pre/Post Op RN-CA(Copy needed) Certifications: BLS(Copy needed)

ACLS(Copy needed) References: 1 Reference in the last 12 months Pre-Post Op SCL and Reference within a year Epic Charting Experience BLS and ACLS required
