Work Environment

Located in Tallahassee, our outpatient clinic fosters an atmosphere centered on collaborative care. As a member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow therapists, specialists, and administrative staff to enhance patient experiences and outcomes. The full-time schedule may include a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients referred by physicians and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques for the management of various orthopedic conditions, ensuring alignment with the physician’s recommendations.
• Engage in continual assessment and adjustment of treatment strategies to optimize each patient's recovery journey.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, aiming to enhance the overall effectiveness of the patient experience.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and refine care techniques.
• Educate and train patients along with their caregivers on home exercises and preventive strategies to support long-term recovery.
• Meet established targets related to patient utilization and involvement in business development initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary focus will be on patients dealing with a range of orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will also afford you the opportunity to treat pediatric and neurologic patient populations, thus broadening your scope of practice and impact within the community.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an APTA or CAPTE accredited physical therapy program, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and written, coupled with strong computer skills for documentation and patient interaction.
• Ability to build rapport with patients, fostering an environment conducive to achieving functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy practice.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and evidence-based practice methodologies.
