This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marine Engineer or Marine Systems Engineer to join a technically focused project team, supporting existing LNG assets alongside newbuilds, conversions, redeployments and major vessel upgrade projects.The Role The Project Engineer will provide engineering expertise across a range of marine systems, including propulsion, power generation, auxiliary machinery, mechanical and piping systems and associated control systems. You will support projects throughout the engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through shipyard execution, commissioning and operational support. Responsibilities will include:Providing marine engineering support to LNGC projects and operating assets.Supporting newbuild, conversion, drydock, upgrade and vessel redeployment projects.Developing and reviewing P&IDs, system diagrams, equipment specifications, calculations and other marine engineering documentation.Engineering and optimization of propulsion, power generation and auxiliary machinery systems.Reviewing shipyard and vendor drawings, specifications and technical documentation.Preparing technical scopes of work, work packs, RFQs and equipment specifications.Supporting equipment sizing, selection and technical evaluation.Working with Classification Societies and supporting Class plan approval processes.Providing engineering input into HAZID, HAZOP, FMECA, risk and operability reviews.Supporting commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting and vessel operations.Managing contractors, vendors and assigned engineering work scopes.Supporting project schedules, budgets and forecast-to-complete activities.Travelling internationally to vessels and shipyards for newbuild, conversion, commissioning and operational projects.About YouWe are interested in speaking with Marine Engineers who combine strong vessel systems knowledge with shore-based engineering or project experience. Ideally, you will have:A degree in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or a related engineering discipline.5+ years of relevant marine/project/ marine systems engineering experience.Previous LNG / LPG experience.Strong knowledge of propulsion, power generation, auxiliary machinery and marine mechanical/piping systems.Experience with newbuilds, conversions, major drydocks or vessel upgrade projects.Knowledge of Classification Society rules, Flag State requirements and Class plan approval processes.Experience producing or reviewing marine engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications and technical documentation.Experience working with shipyards, equipment manufacturers and marine contractors.AutoCAD proficiency.A steam, diesel-electric or gas turbine background would be advantageous.Previous seagoing experience sailing as Marine Engineer would be beneficial, but not essential.
