This role will analyze and report on expense variances across actuals, budgets, and forecasts, preparing detailed reports to help business leaders understand key drivers. The position also contributes to annual planning as well as strategic initiatives. You will have a broad set of responsibilities that will allow you to interact with many teams and leaders across the organization.What you'll be doingIdentify and analyze expense variances (actuals, budget, forecast) and builds detail line analysis for variances for current month, YTD, QTD, and FY forecastDevelops detailed expense analysis primarily around allocated expenses impacting the Annuities business line.Assist in the development and implementation of product level expense assumptions for use in pricing and actuarial modelling, including monitoring actual results vs. expectationProvides support for quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, and longer term expense planningIdentifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads and/or improve quality for assigned area(s)Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projectsProvides periodic and ad-hoc reporting to team members, leaders and stakeholdersContributes to financial component of the strategic planning process, including creation of business case and CBA documentation and alignment of budget with approved initiativesWhat we’re looking forMust-haves:3 – 5+ years of experience as an analyst that aligns with the responsibilities 4 year degree or equivalent work experienceDemonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining attention to detailA strong work ethic who can overcome obstacles and knows how to partner with others to ensure the works gets doneExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsNice-to-haves: Experience in Financial Services, specifically AnnuitiesExperience in FP&A roles Application DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted through September 30, 2026, subject to earlier closure due to applicant volume.What’s it like to work here?At Lincoln Financial, we love what we do. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
