Sam's Club #6240 1301 S Lone Hill Ave, Glendora, CA 91740-5348 Position Summary Assist in daily club operations, including receiving merchandise, maintaining the sales floor, handling forklift and stock management, supporting members, and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely while picking, moving, and positioning merchandise pallets. Manage inventory flow by receiving stocks, organizing merchandise, correcting shelf capacities, and maintaining required paperwork and logs. Provide member service by acknowledging members, offering guidance, assisting with self‑service technology, and resolving issues. Maintain facility safety through regular sweeps, safe handling of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions. Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation: zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up displays, and ensuring promotional items are prominently displayed. Assist with club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to policy and conducted occasional audits for accuracy. Use inventory tools to track items, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage, and report poor inventory practices. Report forklift or equipment conditions and notify management when forklifts are not in proper working order. Proactively assist customers with technology services and items, model usage, and identify shrink opportunities. Qualifications 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification. Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks. Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience in retail and customer service is preferred. Experience supervising a team is a plus.
