Job Description Overview Phlebotomist II – Territory – Henderson, NV Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Travel within an assigned territory to deliver phlebotomy services at Patient Service Centers, Client Offices, or other sites. State license: Must hold a valid state phlebotomy license. (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in California, Washington, or Nevada.) Pay range: $26.05+ per hour, with potential annual performance bonus. Salary considers skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Responsibilities Specimen Collection & Processing Perform venipuncture, capillary draws and other specimen collections following established procedures. Handle difficult draws (pediatric, geriatric, hard sticks) with minimal error. Obtain patient identification and signatures; perform data entry as required. Prepare specimens for transport (labeling, centrifuging, splitting, storage) per test orders. Confirm written and electronic orders using laboratory technology systems or service directories. Patient Experience & Customer Service Resolve routine patient and client concerns independently; escalated non‑routine issues appropriately. Provide professional, respectful, and efficient service; communicate clearly and address patient questions. Perform accurate data entry for registration, test order entry, and billing. Maintain a clean, orderly, welcoming collection environment. Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting. Site Support and Travel Provide coverage across PSCs and Client Offices within the assigned territory with minimal notice. Ensure daily office activities are completed accurately and on time. Maintain reliable transportation; meet travel expectations, and hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record when required. Operations & Compliance Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required. Follow departmental policies, procedures, safety protocols, and compliance standards, including patient confidentiality. Use laboratory systems, directories, and corporate tools to confirm orders and documentation. Support routine administrative tasks: supply stocking, sanitizing, maintaining logs, filing, phone use. Complete all required training; maintain current phlebotomy skills and knowledge. Qualifications Required Work Experience At least two (2) years of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Work Experience Customer service experience in a retail or service environment. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift up to 15 lbs frequently; up to 40 lbs occasionally (with assistance). Perform repetitive hand motions; stand or sit for extended periods. Walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, or pull as needed. Use phone and computer extensively; communicate in English with patients and clients. Knowledge Strong knowledge of phlebotomy best practices, including complex collections (pediatric, geriatric). Skills Work independently; produce accurate, error‑free work in a fast‑paced setting with minimal supervision. Expert phlebotomy skills (pediatric, geriatric). Strong communication and adaptability. Keyboard and data entry experience. Education and Certifications High School diploma or equivalent (required). Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, Washington, and Louisiana. Professional medical certification (medical assistant, phlebotomy, or similar) preferred. English proficiency required.
